Getting an Education

With all the plight,
That elders spite,
I will pursue
An education,
Long overdue.
To loved ones I pray
That they understand
Someday,

Why I choose to fight
The odds and stay in college.

Might I be wrong
To pursue an education [?]

I will grow and achieve
New goals and have met
New Horizons,
Along the way.

The journey to a better
Life shall beckon.
